PDX Death Café is part of a global movement to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of our (finite) lives. We gather in a relaxed setting, as people who are aware that one day we are going to die, to discuss death, drink tea and eat delicious treats.

Fostering useful, honest conversation about how we die, how we mourn, and how we care for and remember our dead. Founder Holly Pruett (certified in Thanatology: Death, Dying & Bereavement by the Association for Death Education & Counseling) is available for public speaking, media interviews, trainings, and consultation with organizations and communities on designing community conversations and action campaigns.
